Abstract
The article analyses one of the main paths towards liberation for the enslaved population: the grants of freedom, in particular in the case of the city of Guadix, and the morisco populace enslaved following the la rebellion of 1568-1571, allowing new conclusions about the costs, those involved and the fate of the population thus freed.
