Abstract
The report on the visitation ad limina of bishop Manuel Medina Olmos, as well as the reply of the Holy Congregation of the Council, has a special documentary value regarding the situation in the diocese of Guadix in the second year of the Second Republic and focussing on the personality of its bishop in his most diocesan role. Often cited in previous works on the blessed Medina Olmos, but always in isolation, it here receives the affirmation that it deserves on its own merits.
